Photograph or paste a receipt: the text is read on your device, then AI pulls out the vendor, amount, date and category. See where your money actually went each month, set yourself budgets and watch them fill up, and search your spend in plain English. There is no bank connection to set up or to break — you keep the receipts, and your expenses stay on whichever device you use it on: iPhone, Mac or browser.

FAQ
Where is my data stored?
On your device, in a local database with receipt images on disk. Oriora doesn't retain your data; the AI runs on our servers, billed to your wallet.
Do I need a subscription?
No. The app is free; you only pay for the AI you use (a fraction of a cent per receipt), billed to your Oriora wallet.
How do I sign in?
With your Oriora account — an emailed code, or Continue with Google, GitHub or Apple. It's the same Oriora sign-in page the website uses, shown inside the app, and one account covers every Oriora app.
Can my accountant use the data?
Yes - export to QuickBooks, Xero, or CSV and hand it over.
Does it connect to my bank?
No, and that is deliberate. Budgeting apps that link to your bank are the ones people complain about most — the connection quietly stops updating and the numbers go stale, and it means handing over access to your account. Here you keep the receipt: photograph it and the vendor, amount and date are read on your device. Nothing to connect, nothing to break.
How do budgets work?
Set a limit for a category or for everything, and this month's spending fills it in — it shows what is left, or how far over you are. It is worked out on your device from your own expenses: no AI call, nothing sent anywhere, and it costs nothing to use. Setting the same budget again just edits it.
How does backup & restore work — iCloud, Google Drive, GitHub?
Your data lives on your device, and you can back the whole collection up to your OWN cloud: connect Google Drive (one tap) or GitHub (a token) once in your Oriora account, and every Oriora app backs up there — restore it on any device. Files need no connection at all: export a backup file and import one back through your phone's own Files picker, where iCloud Drive (and Google Drive, if it's on your phone) simply appear. In the latest app versions the Back-up panel also shows exactly where your backups live and when the last one was saved, and you can just tell the chat "restore my data" — it names the source and asks you to confirm.
